PREPARATION

Before your tanning appointment, you want to slough off the dead skin cells from your entire body. This can be accomplished using liquid soap and a washcloth, or any scrub. The most important thing is that you take the time to gently but thoroughly slough off the dead skin cells that would otherwise flake off in the next few days. This helps to promote even coverage and lengthen the duration of your tan.
When you exfoliate, pay particular attention to your elbows, knuckles, knees, the lower half of your legs, ankles, tops of feet, and toes.

Shave any areas you would like to be hair free, as you will not be able to shower or shave for at least 4 hours.

When you are drying off from your shower, use your towel to buff off again. This final step really helps to improve the overall condition of your skin and completes the exfoliation process.

If you have very dry skin, you may apply a thin layer of moisturizer at least an hour before your appointment. It will not affect the tanning process, and may actually help to condition your skin before we tan you.

You will want to bring loose-fitting clothing to wear after your tan. Flip-flops are best for the feet.
White or light-colored clothing worn after your tan on that first day may get a minuscule amount of product on the inside of the garment. It will not stain your clothing, but we recommend wearing dark colors that first day.

You will feel quite dry afterward, but will not feel completely dry for about an hour.
