Unfortunately, sometimes we make a hasty decision to slap on a sunless tanning product when we don’t have the time to research getting a quality, expertly applied spray tan. Or maybe, like many before you, you unknowingly went to the wrong place and found out way too late that their idea of a natural sunless tan differs from yours by orders of magnitude.
Sadly, we see this all the time. Post tanning stress disorder is real and scarily common. It’s hard to fathom how sunless tanning technicians, in good conscience, can send their sloppy work into the world and still sleep at night. A well-deserved, quick weekend jaunt can be ruined by a bad spray tan, imagine the damage it would do to a bride who has painstakingly made sure every detail of her day is perfect, only to be forced to hide her hands because they look like she’s been rebuilding a transmission leading up to her big day. Images abound of brides sporting a strange orange hue in their expensive wedding photos; a telltale sign of an inexperienced technician applying the wrong sunless tanning solution haphazardly.
In the last 18 years of doing airbrush tans at the Wynn, we have fixed more dirty elbows and knees, missed patches (sometimes comprised of entire areas like the entire back or a leg… did they just forget?), insufficiently sprayed areas, and the most ubiquitous, and egregious mistake (because it is so difficult to master), over-tanned hands and feet that defy belief even when they are right in front of you.

Once you’re inside the Artisun “repair shop”, we will complete the repair prepping process through an application of proprietary tan removal products and techniques that will ensure we will be applying our organic sunless tanning solutions on a pristine canvas. No stone is left unturned. A precise color is blended right before your eyes that will take into account your undertones coupled with the undertones of your previous tan. Although it takes a little extra time and great care to transform the flawed tan into a perfectly natural bronze glow, it is our specialty and a challenge we have successfully undertaken thousands of times. We won’t brag, but suffice it to say that we’ve gotten a lot of last-minute invites to Las Vegas weddings and received many a “shout-out” in maid of honor speeches over the years!
